MODEM
Modem is a Helsinki-based synth pop duo that fabricates dystopias of the past and future, questioning the possibilities of media and human communication. The band started as a simple experiment with vintage synthesizers and drum machines which eventually turned into haunting, danceable music. Inspiration was found from minimal electronics and new wave as well as Italo disco and film soundtracks from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

This band of five combines fuzzy distorted guitars with song structures unlike anyone else and the honey-like singing voice of the lead vocalist. Kiitos mosquitos.

Sparkling like a discobunny,
DJ Hulluella combines Indigenous beats flavored with star dust all the way to shining electronic dance music mixed with house and techno. Her sound world honors music in a planetary way, accompanying everyone on an intergalactic sound trip to the galaxies of dance and joy.
